30 Days and Counting
Well, we’re down to the wire. I’m sure some of you are trying to figure out where the last 30 days went so quickly. Exactly 31 days remaining including the rest of today. As you can see, the countdown calendar has already eliminated time for the holidays.
Hope you’re making good progress on those plans and strategies either for completing 2013 goals or setting 2014 in place.
I’m happy to report, I’m pacing on schedule. However, I’m quite distressed that I keep stumbling across more information to consider for my book. But I remain determined and I’m feeling good that I will make my deadline.
One of the things I’ve had to do is create a parking lot to put all of the ideas that keep popping up as I near completion of this project. Ordinarily, I would stop to explore them, thoroughly intrigued by the adventure they present. But they are really just distractions, cleverly designed procrastinations. If they are truly viable and something worth pursuing, they will be there when I complete this project.
What about you? How are you coming with your tasks and plans? How have your distractions disguised themselves? I bet some of them have names, names of people very close to you, people you care about.
In the past few weeks, I’ve had the opportunity to meet some very inspiring women. Very busy with lot’s on their plate. One was a full time student running a business on the side. The other, a wife and mother of a young daughter, running a very unique online service business from her home. They were both very focused on what was in front of them to do and using technology to run their businesses and their lives.
No two people are the same or have the same circumstances, but after meeting these young women, it was quite difficult for me to come up with a good excuse for not getting my little project done.
I’ll check on you right before the holiday frenzy reaches fever pitch. In the meantime, do what you can and gather your inspiration from where you can. Also, create a parking lot for those ideas that will surely come up. There are likely to be some good nuggets in some of them that shouldn’t be abandoned.
Believe and live forward.
